Coming Spring 2026, Black Desert Resort introduces a world-class pickleball destination set against Southern Utah’s iconic red rock and lava field landscape. Designed for both spirited play and elite competition, the facility will debut with 21 state-of-the-art courts, including a Championship Court with seating for up to 1,000 spectators, with future phases adding eight additional courts.

Thoughtfully designed by Swabeck Architecture, the courts blend seamlessly into the surrounding terrain—creating an experience that feels equally elevated and rooted in place. Advanced technology will support swing and movement analysis, ball tracking, and in/out line calling during tournament play, while heated and misted cabanas, VIP and general seating, and premium guest amenities ensure comfort on and off the court.

Championship Play Comes to Greater Zion

Black Desert Resort is proud to partner with the Professional Pickleball Association and Greater Zion to host the Greater Zion Cup, one of the most prestigious stops on the Carvana PPA Tour.

As one of only five Cup events worldwide, the Greater Zion Cup awards 1,500 ranking points, making it one of the most impactful tournaments on the professional circuit. The event will draw the sport’s top athletes and passionate fans from around the globe—cementing Black Desert Resort as a premier destination for championship-level pickleball.
